About

The esteemed Professor B. Jagan Mohan Reddy is a researcher and
academic who has made significant contributions to the discipline of
Chemistry. Professor Reddy has completed his Master of Philosophy and his
Doctor of Philosophy degrees at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati,
Andhra Pradesh, India. Professor Reddy earned his POST DOCTORAL
DEGREE at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH),
South Korea and it is his Post-Doctoral fellowship research.

A Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chemistry in South Korea is significant
because it provides young researchers with a valuable opportunity to gain
advanced research experience in a highly competitive field, refine their skills
under the mentorship of leading scientists, access cutting-edge research
facilities, build a strong publication record, expand professional network, and
potentially secure future academic positions within South Korea’s robust
research landscape; all while contributing to the development of new
chemical technologies and advancements in the field.

Prof. Reddy has worked in a variety of academic capacities, including that of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at Adikavi Nannaya University on multiple occasions.

Prof. Reddy holds a number of patents and has produced a large number of research papers and books. Over the course of his career, he has also organised and taken part in workshops and conferences on a national and worldwide scale. Several fellowships and memberships have been awarded to him in recognition of his services to the area. One of these fellowships is the Senior Research Fellowship, which was awarded by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India.

The Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is important because it provides training in research methods and opportunities to work with experts in the fields Synthetic Organic Chemistry of Science and Technology.

Professor Reddy held positions at Adikavi Nannaya University as Executive Council Member, Assistant Dean for Exams, Skill Development Coordinator and Placement officer, M.Sc Chemistry courses BOS Chairman, HOD Chemistry, Chief Warden of Boys Hostel, BCDE Coordinator, NSS Programme Officer and NSS Coordinator.

POSTECH

POSTECH is Korea’s first research university, established in a period
when Korea was still chasing after advanced technologies of developed
nations. It was founded on the belief that Korea needed a university that
could spearhead the global science and technology community.
In the field of Synthetic Organic chemistry, Professor Reddy has more
than 22 years of expertise doing research. Prof. Reddy has completed One
DST-Young Scientist project sanctioned by Govt. of India.

DST-YOUNG SCIENTIST

A DST-Young Scientist project is important because it specifically
encourages and supports early-career researchers in India to pursue
innovative research projects with societal impact, fostering scientific
excellence by providing them with funding and opportunities to develop their skills while tackling relevant challenges within the country; essentially building
the future generation of scientific leaders by empowering them to contribute
meaningfully to research and development.

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Executive Council (also called Syndicate or Board of Management) is the authority that takes all executive decisions and implements them. All administrative and financial powers are exercised by this body.

PLACEMENT OFFICER

A Placement Officer plays a crucial role in connecting students with potential employers, facilitating their transition into the workforce by finding suitable job opportunities, providing career guidance, and managing the entire placement process, ultimately enhancing a student’s employability and career prospects by ensuring they receive the best possible placement based on their skills and interests.

Awards

He has received several honors, including the Young Scientist Award from the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) in 2011 and the Best Teacher Award from the Andhra Pradesh State Government in 2019. Both of these titles were bestowed upon him in 2019.

VIFA-2018 as Outstanding Faculty in Chemistry Award is conferred for a remarkable Faculty Member who have track record of Teaching Excellence – Contribution to Theoretical or Applied Research – Service to Students and Related communities – Productivity over the course of career.

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Visiting Scientist Award is a prestigious award that recognizes scientists who have made significant contributions to their fields. The award also promotes scientific collaboration and exchange of ideas.
